Andy moved to Florida from Wisconsin in 1982 at the age of 3. He has spent his life in the woods and wild spaces of Florida. His passion is for the reptiles and amphibians of the state.

He worked for 13 years with one of the largest captive reptile colonies in the world, thus assuring the wild snakes remain wild. There he worked extensively with genetics, egg production, off cycle producing, and maintained data bases for 8 colonies of colubrid North American, Asian and European snakes. His experience includes reptile and rodent reproduction as well as breeding rodents for Bird of Prey Centers. Andy’s passion is helping children to form a connection to the wildlife around them and to gain a love for the unique ecosystems and wildlife of Florida.
