Lead Education Coordinator for Highlands County – Originally from Bryn Athyn Pa, Donnalee has lived in New Jersey at the Weiss Ecology Center. She has previously worked as a school bus driver for 13 years, as an EMT, and was a 12-year member of the board of directors for the Venus Volunteer Fire Dept. Currently, Donnalee works for the Board of Elections in Highlands Cty, is celebrating 21 years with Winn Dixie, and works part time at an organic farm. Donnalee was a member of the Primal Connection Music and Percussion group where she worked with mentally challenged adults, The Boys and Girls Clubs of Florida, Alzheimer patients in nursing homes, prison populations and many others. She visited Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah and has lobbied in Tallahassee for animal-friendly bills. She is a member of the South Central Florida Bear Stakeholders group and has spoken at local commissioner meetings on animal and environmental issues. She has had articles published in Catholic Concern for Animals magazine and is also a member of AnimalMinistries.org. Donnalee has been working for animals for many years and is honored to be a part of Imagine Our Florida.
